  NOx emissions
Posted by: RobPotter - 28-01-2021, 12:44 PM - Forum: General Nattering - Replies (2)

I have a VTR1000, which I bought new in 1997.  It's a great bike, its been reliable and it does everything I want.  However, I live in the part of London that will be included in the expanded ULEZ in October.  I need to know the NOx emissions to see if I can continue to ride it.
I contacted Honda and they told me that they have no test data for pre 2002 bikes.  The engines of the later bikes seem similar, so it would help me to know what the emissions of a post 2002 VTR1000 are.  Then I can decide whether it is worth having the bike tested.
Does anyone know the NOx emissions of a post 2002 VTR1000?
Many thanks,
Rob

  CB900 FA Airbox
Posted by: Tigger390 - 12-11-2020, 07:54 PM - Forum: General Nattering - No Replies

I am after an airbox for my newly acquired project and Honda list 2 different airboxes for 1980, pre and post a particular serial number. I believe mine is the earlier type as the number on the headstock is hard to read and I can confirm it when the V5 turns up. All other parts for the 2 airbox's appear to be the same part numbers, its just the case that is different.  Does anyone know what that difference is? and despite what Mr Honda says, are they interchangeable?

Thanks

NIgel

Posted by: Tigger390 - 12-11-2020, 07:45 PM - Forum: Introduce yourself here - Replies (2)

Hi my name is Nigel, I'm having a Pint of Stella and its my round as I'm new in town so what you having!

I'm in Essex, near Romford. been motorcycling for over 30 years now and my collection seems to be growing! I've just acquired  a 1980 CB900FA for the princely sum of £1500 with a view to doing a full nut and bolt restoration so I will picking the brains on here quite a bit. I'll post some pictures when I get them on the computer.

I also have a 2002 VFR800 VTEC. My other non Honda's include a 1984 Yamaha IT490L that has had a full nut and bolt restoration, KTM 950SMR, BMW R1250 GSA and a Suzuki DRZ400Y with a kick start only!

Thanks

Nigel
