Hello All! Fireblade Fairings... |

I've just bought a 98 Fireblade, which is surprising because when I started looking for a new bike it was going to be a GSXR1000 or R1. I read so many good reviews about the Blade that I decided to look beyond it's 'lardy blade' perception and give one a go. So I found a 1 owner, low mileage example (7000 miles) iand I have to say the 150 miles ride back, although cold and wet, was VERY impressive.Â
So here I am on the owners club forum. I've owned Suzuki's and Yamaha's mainly and only 1 previous Honda, a late eighties MTX125 which was stolen whilst I was in a pub. I remember it being a great little 125 though.Â
The fireblade is generally in excellent condition as it was last ridden in 2006 and put on display in the owners office until last year when it was recommissioned.Â
It's a bit dusty and needs a damn good overall clean and ideally some new fairing panels to bring back to A1 condition.Â
So... Can anyone give me advice on where best to get some reasonably priced replacement fairing panels?Â
Ideally it needs the left mid section, right middle inner and top section and it will be perfect.Â
The only other part that needs replacing or re-condissioning is the exhaust silencer which is dented and scratched.Â
Of course i'm keeping an eye on ebay but not much is coming up at the moment. Also, there's a well known online Honda specialist but their prices seem to be a bit on the high side - (i.e. £60 for the rear chain guard!)
Thanks in advance for any help. Looking forward to a summer of riding fun and bike meetings...
Mike

Hello to everyone. I am the owner of a 1990 CH250 Elite scooter that has done 6000 miles only. I am retired now but have owned lots of bikes over the years and like to keep something in the garage to hop on to on a nice day. I wonder if there are any other CH250 owners on the site and if so, whether we could share information about spares etc.

Hello,
My name is Stuart.
I have a 1995 VFR750 that I'm working on, it has (most of) a front end from a 1999 CBR900RR, with a 17" front wheel from a VFR800 machined to fit.
I say most of because it doesn't have a full front mudguard - I bought a complete one off eBay, and although the main mudguard part is correct, it turns out the stays/clips and the covers changed over the years - the stays/clips are too small to fit round the fork legs - I believe the mudguard I have comes from a 1996 bike...
So I joined this forum to try and get help in supplying the CORRECT parts I need - I was surprised at how much all the clips cost at Honda (£51.70!)
I'll get some photos up of the bike soon
Next stop: Wanted section
Regards
Stuart

1965 CB160 |

Hi everyone
Back in 1965, I became the proud owner of a brand new Honda CB160, Registration number GGJ 729C, which I bought for £222 from Pride and Clarke in Brixton, South London. I only owned the bike for a few years until I bought my first car and then reluctantly sold it.
I often reminisce about the bike, and would love to see one again.
Do any members know of a CB160 anywhere in the South London, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington area that I could see?
Many thanks
Stewart
