Hi all, introducing myself to the forum, been into Hondas from about 1970 to present day, first Honda was a used C200 brilliant little bike had it for years, moved onto a CB500T and then traded it for a new CB550 F2, in 1978 I had a test ride on the CX500, hatted the look of it but it was so nice to ride, I bought one and still have it today, it now looks better than the day I rode it out of the show room, hope to post a picture latter, don't do a lot of riding now at 66 years old but do a lot of restoration, presently C100 in progress. I am based in Kettering Northants, OK that's enough introduction at the moment, look forward to chatting with you. BOB

Hi Bob, and welcome. I too disliked the look of the CX500 when it first appeared, but after reading many road tests and articles saying how such a good all-round bike it was, it started to grow on me. I bought one in 1981 after not even test riding one. I too still have it today...

(Don't really know why I bothered.... Confused )
