Hey Les,

When I bought my bike it was already fitted with higher 'Western' handlebars - they're about the same height as a CM xxx.

As I do absolutely no high speed riding (never was a fan) and the word 'motorway' has been erased from my vocabulary, I find the higher position much more comfortable - especially in town traffic and cruising along the kind of roads I like.

Hi Chris,
              My bike hasn't been run for over ten years so I' in the middle of changing the oil,  cleaning the carb, new plugs, check the points etc.  I'm looking forward to taking a ride,  the first of course for an MOT.  I will probably raise the gearing, just one tooth on the final drive sprocket as I only intend riding solo.  Most of the old Brit. bikes are under geared..
