Help please: No log book for late 60s Honda 50
#1
Hello everyone, would be really grateful for some help/direction.

A friend of mine has a very old Honda 50, given to him by a neighbour who had a garage sale. The Honda had been sitting in his garage since the 70s. I have an email confirming this - that it was his to give away and that he gave it away.

The bike has a registration number, but DVLA canâ€t find any details of it, so my friend has no log book.
My friend believes the bike originates from late 60â€s/early 70s.

Iâ€ve spoken to the DVLA - they have said to complete the form V765 and V55/5 as best I can (they said that a lot of the details requested donâ€t relate to this vehicle), send them to The Honda Owners†Club with photos, the old tax disc (there is one, but it is rusted into the holder - I can photograph it if needed), photos of the bike and the letter from the owner proving that the HONDA 50 was his and he gave it to my friend.

They said The Honda Owners†Club will then send the info to the DVLA and a log book will be sent out.

Heâ€s spent about £600 restoring it (see photos below).

Can you help with this, please? Heâ€s dyslexic and the paperwork is too hard for him, so Iâ€m trying to help him.

Thank you very much for your time.
All good wishes,
Zelly
